Lord Vader in Action

We have recently watched all 6 Star Wars with the boys. They have two lightsabers to play with, but lately have been finding other poles and toys (pool noodles) to add to their lightsaber collection. This way they have all the colors that they need (green, blue, purple, and red). Although we do have a black cape for the boys, Caleb prefers the baby blanket to be his Darth Vader cape. Cole usually chooses a purple saber.

Baseball Pics

Baseball season is officially over. Saturday was the last game. Afterwards, a party was held at Chick-fil-a! Cole had a great time playing this year. He was the team pitcher. His coach (Coach Evans) was excellent. We plan on Cole playing again next year.

A Morning in the Scott House

I thought some of you might want to hear what a typical morning at our house is like. We do not have a set wake up time (expecially since it is summer break). However, we are still up and moving by 8am. I have recently started waking up to a cup of coffee to get started. Until this year, the smell of coffee was not something that would excite me. Now, I can't wait to get a cup in the morning.

We eat breakfast (which is either pancakes, eggs, or cereal) and then get going. Today I was thinking about cleaning in the morning and playing in the afternoon. It did not happen that way! Before I knew it, it was 12pm and I hadn't accomplished anything. We made new swords out of cardboard and foil. We also put on turtle and spiderman costumes and let the boys pretend for awhile. They really had a lot of fun with the costumes.

Christian always sleeps longer than Cole and Caleb. He stays in his crib until around 10am. This is actually very helpful to me. When we were schooling Cole, I could get a large portion of his work done before Christian would wake up. Today, Christian was not around for the costumes.

Tonight, I will post some pictures of the boys in their costumes!

Trip to Lake Lure

Our family went to Lake Lure, NC last week. We had a great time. We stayed at Rumbling Bald Resort. The children loved the pool (except for Christian who cried everytime we put him in the water). Derek and I also had fun. Derek and Cole played putt-putt everyday. Derek was trying to get under par and finally on the last night he was able to putt one under par. We hope to go back at some point. It was such a great time for our family (and only one hour away).

We tried occasionally to get the boys into the lake. Cole's response was...
"Let me tell you what the pool has that the lake doesn't have.....FUN."

Derek and I repeated and laughed at his quote all week.

First Entry

This, hopefully, will be helpful to our many friends and family who want to see pictures of our boys as they are growing. As of now, Cole is 7 years old, Caleb is 2, and Christian is 9 months. Cole is enjoying baseball. Caleb is just being cute Caleb. Christian has learned to crawl. He has decided that he should be right behind Caleb. I will be putting pictures up soon.
